*Limited Early Edition* only available here!
David and the Mighty Men continue to struggle against the Philistines across the dark forests and sun-drenched valleys of Israel, leading to an epic chariot battle on the plains of Philistia. I have read the Scriptures cover to cover several times, but after reading Song of War and others in this series II Samuel came alive as never before. The names become people I care about, their trials and daily life spring to life, and I think about this reign in a whole new way. Cliff Graham's writings are graphic and gritty, but not in a way to sensationalize, but to portray. David and his Mighty Men have become my heroes.

Love this series! Song of war was a great read I feel like I know the men in this book on a personal level like I'm reading about old friends. I only regret that it is over , please release the next book soon!

Being an 'early release' and with the disclaimer in the front about the book not being proofed for final print, I was able to give this a 5 star rating despite some of the errors I came across in reading- knowing that these will be found and corrected for the final draft. I absolutely love this series! Can't wait for the next books in the series to be written & released. Totally gives an accurate period-based view of this chapter in God's Word, putting flesh on its stories.

This one was not as good as Day of War, but I still enjoyed the book.

I love this series and how I wish I was one of the Mighty Men! The stories are fictional, but I can feel the story. Cliff pulls me in from the start. I am immersed in the story and cannot put the book down. I find many similarities with Benaiah. He desire to care for his family, his misguided path and his struggle to reconnect as a husband is a timeless tale. My only critique is the “pre-production” version of the book. I rather of had a finished version. I cannot wait for the Fires of War to continue journey!

For those who love war literature and creative non-fiction, this is the book series for you! These would be interesting for both believers and the history buffs.

I do not remember reading books so quickly. I could not put one down. From the beginning, these books keep you entertained to the end. I really love the fact that they come signed. Will definitely keep supporting Cliff Graham and keep purchasing books as he releases them.

Just recently completed the three books. Would have love to see the revised, illustrated/maps included final version. Even so, the books were intriguing and biblically based to allow the stories in the Bible come alive and vividly depict what David and his troops went through to defeat their enemies.

I really wish this book was twice the length since I read it in about 4-5 sittings. The story is great, does a great job of moving the overall narrative forward. Since it was the advanced copy I found just under 10 grammatical issues and a couple places where the author moved back and forth describing the same instance of the story with different weapons such as David using his sling and his weapon switching back and forth in description as brass pellets and rocks. This happens a couple times which I'm sure will be caught in the editing process for the final version. Overall I'm just excited for the next two installments that are supposed to much longer in length than this one.
